We're Hosting a Small Gathering of Lawyers To Explore A New Legal Future.

May 18-20 (Friday evening, a full day Saturday, and Sunday Wrap up) at ESQ Legal, Denver Colorado.

Mostly by invitation only.

There is a sea change in law. The old legal system worked well for old values. Now, many new models are emerging that reflect new values. From collaborative practice in divorce to conscious contracts in business, from drug courts to restorative justice, therapeutic jurisprudence to purpose-focused estate planning, sustainable justice to peacemaking and creative-problem-solving, sharing law to earth law, new approaches to law offer new opportunities and challenges.

Lawyers weren't trained to be counselors but we are often called to engage in some of life's most intimate moments. We may be called on to solve problems that are systemic, much larger than the case that presents. More and more, we are called to stretch our legal training to cover situations for which a purely legal education did not prepare us.

How do we gain the skills we need for modern practice? How can we best collaborate with other disciplines? And when do we try it alone or call in reinforcements? How can you get in front of the change and become the change-maker and leader rather than just reacting?

About the Weekend

Our intention is to facilitate a high level, peer-to-peer, integrally-informed, generative conversation about:

  • Shaping the Future of Law.
  • Redefining Success.
  • Possibilities, Probabilities, and Opportunities In the New Legal Landscape.
  • The New Practice Models.
  • Conscious Law and Conscious Contracts.
  • Serving the Conscious Client.
  • Our Initiatives and Pilot Projects.

Our setting is casual, urban funk in the beautiful mid-May weather of Colorado's front range.

Cost:   $250 per person to cover basic expenses.

6 Hours of C.L.E credit (including 1.2 hours of ethics credit) have been approved in Colorado.  We can help you apply these credits toward MCLE in your state or jurisdiction.

The conference will be held at ESQLegal, an innovative legal coworking space in Denver’s RiNo neighborhood housing resident attorneys that advise startup companies, companies in various stages of their growth or life cycle, founders, angels, incubators/accelerators and venture capital and private equity investors. This beautifully designed, modern and modular space will be an ideal backdrop for the innovation and connection we expect at the conference.
